We just had a great evening at Alice’s house yesterday. There were more than 10 adults and children joining this wonderful BBQ party. It was full of jubilant delight and joy in our gathering. The children were especially happy when they saw so many people visiting their house. Pity dear young and little monkeys. They must have been “locked up” for too long…. *giggle*
Alice and her parents-in-law were very thoughtful and warm hearted. They started the food preparation since early Saturday morning while most of the people were still lying on their warm and cozy bed on this non-working day. The chicken wings were well marinated while the sausages, “ba gua” and the meatballs had all been strung together across the satay sticks and left in a red basket. Alice’s father-in-law even prepared for us his specially made chili-Soya sauce for us to enhance the taste. It was really tasty and spicy. The same feedback was given from those who had ever tried the sauce. I didn’t give it a try as I can’t take any spicy food or source. In all, everything was well prepared and properly arranged on the plates and bowls, just waiting for the time to serve their guest. Huh…
Here came the guest... They couldn’t stop their mouth from watering after seeing the food!
The guys were busy grilling the chicken wings, prawns and sausages while the rest were busy chatting and eating the delicious meals provided. James couldn’t resist the tasty look so he had one of the chicken wing righted when it was cooked. Our companion – Mr Seah seemed not so good at this as he always over burned the wings… He ended up eating his charcoal wings all by himself. What a pity guy? Hopefully, he learned his skill well next time before he went to fight on the battlefield… *grin*
The award winning couples of the night … (left to right) Mr. & Mrs Seah, Kelly & her hubby, Jen and her baby *grin*.
Baby boy: Hey pretty lady, I want the magic blue box in your hand.
DeeDee: Here you go my lovely boy.
Baby boy: Huh, it’s amazing! How come there is another boy who has the same face like me in the camera? Cloning? Magic trick? I hope I could have one of this. Daddy!!! What do you think?
DeeDee: My dear, you can have it but only you call me mum!
Baby boy: …
Playing mahjong was the last thing we did after the dinner. We took some group photos before we left at about 9pm.
