“Welcome every morning with a smile. Look on the new day as another special gift from your creator, another golden opportunity to complete what you were unable to finish yesterday. Be a self-starter. Let your first hour set the theme of success and positive action that is certain to echo through your entire day. Today will never happen again. Don’t waste it with a false start or no start at all. You were not born to fail.” ~by Og Mandino

Ankara, The Capital of Turkey

-27Sep2008-
We were moving to Ankara, the Capital of Turkey in the next day earlier morning. It took about 3 hours to get there from Bolu.

Begining of the day...
Do you see the red mobile food stall in the 1st picture below? It is very popular in Turkey and you can find it easily by the roadside or in the crowd. 1 YTL (Yeni Turkish Lira) for three delicious Turkish doughnuts dusted with aromatic sesame. Yummy! Yummy!

Wandering around in the Anatolian Civilization Museum (Turkish: Anadolu Medeniyetleri Müzesi)...

Here come to the Atatürk Mausoleum, a monumental tomb of Turkey's founder - Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and it is also a place of pilgrimage for many Turks.

Place for surfing? No, it's actually a Salt Lake. The place is shallow during the summer where people can simply step on the tick crust of salt with their bare feet.

We didn't spend much time in Ankara but heading to Cappadocia, the land of fairy chimney in the afternoon right after our lunch.
It was the fruit season for watermelon and melon in October in Turkey. Therefore, we could easily see many watermelons and melons laying in the fields along the way down to Cappadocia.

Click here for more photos. *wink*
