“Welcome every morning with a smile. Look on the new day as another special gift from your creator, another golden opportunity to complete what you were unable to finish yesterday. Be a self-starter. Let your first hour set the theme of success and positive action that is certain to echo through your entire day. Today will never happen again. Don’t waste it with a false start or no start at all. You were not born to fail.” ~by Og Mandino

瑞狮拜年。Chinese Lion Dance

There is always lion dance performance going store by store starting from the 5th (sometimes 3rd or 4th) day of Chinese New Year whereby most of the people have just started their business after several days shutdown for Chinese New Year celebration. People especially those businessmen believe that performing lion dance in their shops during Chinese New Year can exorcise evil spirit and summon luck and fortune.

Lion dance performed by 民都鲁精武体育会龙狮团 (Bintulu Chin Woo Dragon & Lion Dance Troupe).

A little monk tried to entice the lion with a fan.

My dad told me that the power of the lion spirit by this association is strong enough to drive out the evil forces and bring all the good blessings to his business. Well, it could be true...! *wink*

I like the bright red of this lion. It's indeed charming than others.

The lion dance is believed to bring good luck and fortune to the business and the dancers receive the money as reward.
