The Miracle Crown (旷野之星) - I Made It Last Night

After struggling and hardworking for three hours plus, a new miniature handmade crown was born. Phew. It’s stunning, isn’t it?


I named it as “The Miracle Crown” (旷野之星), which symbolizes the spirit of life - like the spirit owns by this famous Disney’s cartoon character, Simba, the Lion King - he was betrayed, rejected, running away from responsibility and finally growing strong through adversity. Thus, never giving in to fate as you would never know what would happen in the next. Perhaps a miracle would come to you, who know.


Actually, Marcy is the one who coming up with such an idea – she wants me to make a little crown for her lion toy which she is going to give Low as one of the birthday presents tomorrow night. Oh well. Obviously she wants to make it as another “Lion King”. I know. I accepted her request and started to design, assemble the parts and finally come out with this Miracle Crown embroidered with a few bling-bling beads last night.


To be honest, it’s not an easy task for me which I can simply finish in a short while, especially the technical part – it in fact took me ages to round the copper wire onto the thick silver wire. Each of the rounds has to be equally apart. The wires sometimes hurt my fingers too. Ok. I know it has been a challenging task which would need more time, more patience and better skills to accomplish. Still, I found it really exciting and satisfying, especially the moment when I’ve got the whole structure completed in the end.


It’s a sweet brown fluffy lion toy with a head of pretty messy blonde hair. Wow. We both are wondering how to get its hair sort out before she passes the lion toy to Low.


Wearing the hair in braids? No. She said the hair is too short for plaiting. Well. Let’s see what we can do after we meet up tomorrow night before Low’s birthday dinner.
