What would be the next?

We caught up with my hubby after the Toys Museum. My hubby had to work half day in the morning today. So, he would be coming and meeting us at the hotel lobby after work.

After that, we all headed to the Suntec City. My hubby and sis were in fact wanted to join the Duck Tour, but too bad all of the seats had been sold out today. What a hot sale! Therefore, we could only book the ticket for tomorrow one. The sale lady at the ticketing counter introduced us a combination ticket whereby we could join both the Duck Tour & the Singapore Flyer at the slightly cheaper price, which is S$49. The usual price would be S$63, so we would save S$14 after all. Well, why not? Without second thought, we quickly bought the tickets.

Nice doodling piece on the glass. Do you know why the designer wants to have these all in the busy passageway? Does it imply something? Like ” hey man, have a cup of tea and a little rest before you proceed”. Well, I think most of the Singaporean are definitely need that. Bear in mind that a little rest could let you go further.

Another artistic carving piece in the passageway between the City Hall MRT Station and the Suntec City.

Oooh… Here comes the Esplanade, the theaters on the bay. And also. the Merlion in Merlion Park which is the well-known tourist icon of Singapore too.

There was a military rehearsal for later public performance on Singapore National Day over the Float at Mariana Bay. We saw it, out of blue. *luckie-lucky*

Outside the building was so incredibly hot and we needed something to cool us down…. Guess what’s that? Oh yeah, it’s ice-cream. yummy-chilly ice-cream!! Ho-ho-ho.
Look at that girl, she was stir-frying the ice-cream with the chosen ingredients on the chilly platform. We couldn’t help drooling and so want to taste it immediately.

Ta-da. Our Rough-Strawberry-Chocolate (this was mine), Rocky-Road-Classic-Belgium-Chocolate (my hubby’s) & the Belgium-Noisette-Brownie (my sis’s). All were choccy. Haha…

The Fountain of Wealth in Suntec. Hoping we all could get loads and loads of $$.

I was extremely tired... Zzzzz... in the end.

来,带你一起坐时光机飞入童年的隧道

Can you still remember about your favorite cartoons or toys that you used to watch or play with in your childhood? Or maybe you had even requested your papa and mama to buy them for you when you saw them on the telly, hadn’t you?

So, do you still keep them with you? Or you have chucked them somewhere else, or kept them in your cabinet? No matter where they are, they had accompanied us throughout our sweet and lovely childhood. You know, they are really precious. They were our BEST FRIEND when we were kids. Or may be the hero or heroine to any of us too.

Well, come on. Let’s put the clock back and relive all those characters that we used to be with in our kids’ life…

National Geographic at VIVO City

We woke up quite early this morning, at about 6am. We quickly cleansed our face, brushed our teeth and took a light meal before we got out from our place. Well, my friend BK Wong offered us a drive to the bus stop nearby on the main road, where there’s always many buses pass by. Yeah, we were taking a public transport going to Singapore. Less than RM5 per trip. It’s the cheapest way that you can think of. We would rather invest most of our money in the shopping stuff later instead. Hee-hee…

It was still early for check in when we both reach Singapore and therefore, we leaped to our feet and hurry off for shopping, full of exhilaration. Haha~ I had got her a new big bag, a pair of new Levi’s shoes on 30% discount and a few nice hanging little things for handset.

Starving Ping chose the Korean set(拌饭) for her dinner...

Hey, look at this huge wooden-made horse. It's an astonishingly amazing piece. Really.

My Sis is coming down to JB

Well, I headed to Senai Airport straight away after work to pick up my dearest piggy sis. Hee hee… Her flight arrived in Johor at about 6pm, exactly as scheduled. She didn’t bring many things but a light backpack, filled with her clothes and some other stuff, and an almost empty square bag with her. I guess she might want to fill that boxy bag with her shopping stuff later. All in all is less than 5kg. Huh. She even told me smugly that the ground crew was suggesting her that she could hand carry this utterly light luggage by herself, but she didn’t want. What a lazy sister! Ha-ha…

Anyway, the time was still early and we whizzed off to a hair saloon near to my house after that, before we went for our dinner tonight. We both had the idea of having our hair trimmed nicely. We are going to Singapore tomorrow morning for our weekend. And therefore, we both wanted to get ourselves ready and look absolutely nice for the whole trip in Singapore later.

When we popped in to the saloon, we saw the hairdresser was halfway serving a lady. It’s ok. Just a customer in the whole saloon and we thought he would be serving us very soon. The hairdresser’s assistance ushered us each to the high heel chairs. We sat down and he started washing our hair in turn. We picked a magazine each and leafed through the pages casually. In between, we constantly gossiping while waiting for our turn.

Shampooing, massaging over the top of our head and washing the bubbles away. All took nearly 20minutes to complete. It’s certainly longer than I used to have before. I mean, it’s a bit unusual today because the process should takes no more than 10minutes to complete. But now, he was taking two times longer than usual. Ok. It didn’t matter. We didn’t have to be bothered by this. Anyhow, we carried on our chatter blissfully. We talked about my sis’ university life in Curtin, about Ah Chii, Ah Yew, dad and mum, about clothes, about shoes, about my life in Johor, about our exciting trip to Singapore tomorrow and so on.

Then, there was a mid-age woman pushed the class door open and came in with a boy. Like us, the assistance ushered them politely to the seats. Oh, they would be going after us, I thought nonchalantly.

The hairdresser had eventually finished servicing his lady customer. Ho-ho-ho. It’s our turn now. Our turn after being waiting for ages. We got slightly excited now. But to our surprise, the hairdresser moved all his hairdressing tools toward the mid-age woman and her son. Oh god. Hey, come here. It should be our turn! They came behind us. We were prior to them. Somehow, I was pissed off but I didn’t cry out. I need to be polite. After all, I was in a public area. I should control my burst out bad temper. I don’t want people call me as a shrew lady after that. Ok, just be patient to this bloody hairdresser again and asked him for reason afterwards.

Finally, we both end up having our dinner after 9.30pm. You know what. We wasted about 3 hours there just for a simple haircut which suppose to be done within thirty minutes. For God’s sake, he told me that because the mid-age woman had been making the reservation earlier before she came. If it was so, why didn’t he inform us in the beginnng so that we both could go to have our dinner first? He did it deliberately because he afraid he would lose the two potential customers tonight. He is definitely a bloody cow who wasting our precious time in nonsense.

I nearly lost my Violin bow, Phew!

Thanks God. It comes back to me in the end.

Oh well, I was actually left my bow behind unknowingly after the class on last Thursday evening and the thing was, I only realized it on Monday night in the following week. Just when I wanted to take everything out from the violin case for regular practicing at home. Oh my God. I was quite nervous at that moment and trying to bring everything to mind. I tried my best scanning through every piece of my memories discreetly in order to find out where on earth I leaved the bow.

I remembered the last time I used it was during the violin class on last Thursday night. I went for the basketball game with my buddies until very late on Friday evening, so of course I didn’t carry out the practice – I didn’t want to awake my neighbours and get complaints by them. The next day, I had to work until 6pm and then, I went to the string orchestra at Foon Yew High School with my boyfriend until 10pm. Still, it was too late for me to play the violin.

On Sunday, I woke up quite late and merely carried out the reading at StarBucks with my boyfriend for almost the whole afternoon. And, we spent our evening in front of the telly for hours before we turned in. So, all in all, the high possibility was, I could be leaving my bow in the school. I felt better when I thought in this way. I mean, at least I had got an idea where it was. This makes you feel better than you know nothing whereabouts your bow, isn’t?

Once I had an idea about where my bow was, I quickly rang up to the violin school. It was about 9pm the time I made the call. A lady was answering my call. She is one of the teachers there. She helped me to look for the bow in the classroom but she found nothing. Oh, what a bad news! The disappointment crept across my face. But then, “May be somebody has found it and passed it to Miss Yap. Can you ring back again after 9.00am tomorrow and check with her?” she chipped in suddenly. Oh, great. “Ok. Thanks!” This had definitely got me back into the expectation again. I hoped it would not upset me, then.

I rang to the musical school the next day morning and talked to Miss Yap. She said she had never received any lost bow from other people lately. Oh no. Who took my bow? “Jenny, bear with me a minute. I will go upstairs and check for you again. I will call you back.” She offered her help. “Sure. Thanks.” I said blankly.

After a while, she called me back. “Hi Jenny, I’ve found your bow in the classroom,” she said. But the lady teacher who I talked to last night told me that she couldn’t find it. Did she (the lady teacher) lie? Anyway, I wouldn’t mind anymore as long as I could find my bow back.

“Oh, great. Can you keep that for me and I will come and get it tomorrow after work?” I replied merrily.

“Yes. Of course,” she said.

“Thanks a lot. Cheers!”

Afternoon Tea at StarBucks

StarBucks is another place that we have always been hanging out to when we are running out of place to go during weekend.

Oh, it’s a lovely afternoon today with a really nice and windy weather outside. The sky was grey and cloudy and sometimes, it drizzled. But still, it didn’t matter. Because it made the day even better, much more comfortable than the initial hot and breathless atmosphere. Everything seemed to get refreshed after the rain, as well as my blurry mind.

My boyfriend and I were having a little cozy tea break in the StarBucks this afternoon. We ordered our drinks from the counter and were sharing a slice of a black chocolate cake together.

We picked a pair of pink sofas in the middle of the floor to sink in and carried out our reading, then. Sometimes we had some sweet nice chatter chipped in between too. Sharing our laugh, gossips and some wonderful ideas and knowledge read from the books and magazines.

Here are a few snapshots that we took on-and-off throughout our relaxed time in StarBucks…

Papa & Mama, They Are The 'Happy Farmers'

My dad is a typical businessman while my mum is a diligent housewife. Both of them have the same hobby – they like gardening. They practically make use of the spacious space in our courtyard and also the piece of land next to our house which my dad just bought in a few years ago to plant veggie, fruits and flowers and also some herbs. My dad like to do some gardening during weekend or on the day when he doesn’t have to work, while mum like to carry out the gardening in every morning and evening.

Well, it’s basically quite a relaxed job to them, I think. I mean, of course, it’s not easy to taking care so many plants together and they have certainly put plenty of effort on these. Mum and dad have been very careful to their plants. But I’m sure they are really enjoying the process. They are getting excited when they finally receive a plenteous harvest after so much hard work. They deserve it, don’t they?

The crops are not for selling or anything but mainly for our own serving. Sometimes, my parents will give some to our neighbours and friends for free too, if there are any extra.

Ok, let’s don’t wait any longer and look at the pictures that my youngest brother had again sent to me the other day... He was the cameraman for all of them as well.

Here are a few little banana trees... They are mostly "underage".

Look at this. This lovely little papaya tree is so urge to grow up.

Greenery veggie field next to those fruit trees. They are sharing on the same piece of land.
Guess what type of veggie are them?

A horse was enjoying its delicious grasses near to my parents' veggie field. It's quite tame and friendly. I had met it for few times when I back to my hometown before. Well, it's actually belonged to somebody else.

See what my dad was doing there? Hee... hee...

Beautiful flowers again to share with you all. *wink*

Just two very very old trees "standing" strongly like the guardians next to our house. They have been there ever since we move in about ten years ago.

Nice evening scenery... End of the day.

Cheer Up! My Dearest Sis

Life is like a book of story. It has always been up and down and full of unexpectedness. You would never predict or know exactly what would happen next. It’s like picking a colour ball from a black box. You can’t see the balls inside and you have to blindly and randomly pick up one from the box. You would never know which you gonna get. May be red. May be blue one. Or perhaps a white ball. Only the almighty God would know the answer.

Sis, please don’t get defeated so easily by such deflation. Take it as a lesson and you learn from it. Think at the bright side, you are practically undergoing something that ones have to get over before he or she can reach the goal. You are certainly on your way to the glorious.

You always say that I’m clever but in fact, I’m not. I ‘m just know the rule – “No pains, no gains”, and therefore, I constantly put much effort than others do, in order to get a good result. No matter in what fields or what things. Of course, I did face many failures too before I succeed. Sometimes I had even cried in between. Not being so smug about it but I honestly told myself that I was actually lucky than others. Because you know what, I had got the chance to learn something… something which is rather priceless, from those miserably experience. It’s the same principle as you carry out some experimental approaches. You used to fail at the first place and you keep trying and trying by different attempts until you finally get the result you want. You know, it’s sort of inestimable worth.

My dearest sis, do not freak out. Still, it’s not a matter. Once you get the hang of it, you will realize that it’s no longer a big deal. Take it as a dramatically transition that you have to go through it before you succeed. Never give in to the failure but take it as a step for leading you along to your brilliant achievement in future.

A View From the Courtyard"。见到后可别吓一跳哦。那真的是我的家,不是"森林"。哈哈~

The Endless Heat And Sweating

Hot! Hot! Hot! It’s incredibly breathlessly hot these few weeks and I feel myself absolutely can’t stand it at all. I keep sweating and sweating if I’m outside the air-conditioned room. I don’t have an air-conditioner in my living place and therefore, I didn’t really get a nice sleep for few days, just because of this endless hotness. I have been even thinking if I could move my bed to company and sleep over there. Well, I know it’s ridiculous, anyway.

I don’t like this extremely hot weather, never ever in the million years. It gets me frantic, instead. I hope it would rain or at least windy. But I think it’s not going to happen so soon. We are all suffering in the hotness now. And, we have to. When will it be last? I’m wondering. It’s not supposed to be that hot. I mean, it seems to be getting hotter and hotter over the years, especially during this period. I’m sure it is kind of global warming. Oh god! It’s horrible, isn’t?

Imagine that you have just put yourself pretty well in a really nice and beautiful outfit and you are enjoying that. But all in a sudden, you feel that there is something… something that is sticky, oily and disgusting start to exude over your skin and your face and instantly the initial pleasantness is vanished nowhere. No more blissful. No more brisk. All happiness has just faded into bubbles. In fact, what left over is, you start to feel uneasy and discomfort in your felt-nice-ensemble and wish to take everything off immediately.

Huh~ How can I get rid of this bloody weather? Where on earth all the rain and wind have gone? Oh my god.

Tell you what, there are many pimples have suddenly sprouted out on my forehead, just because of this for God sake’s hot weather. I had never had that many before even when I was a teenager. This is too much. Too bad. Too miserable. Arggg… It would drive me crazy in the end.

My Yummy Kampua Noodles

Hey, look at the pictures that my hubby took last night. Does it make you watering? It looks pretty delicious, doesn’t it? Hee hee hee… It’s one of my super duper favorite foods – Kampua noodles (干盘面). Mind you, it’s genuinely made in Sibu, Sarawak!

Oh, it’s basically my idea to ask my hubby to bring it back for me. He had been going back to Sarawak in attending his best friend’s wedding reception last week. Therefore, I grasped the chance by asking him to bring me one or two packets just when he came back last night.

To be true, I honestly miss these Kampua noodles very much. I can only taste it if I back to my hometown (Sarawak). I mean, you can easily find the similar Kampua noodles (sometimes, people here call it as Wanton noodles 云吞面 or Kamlao noodles 干捞面) in Johor, or any other places in West Malaysia, too but the taste is completely different even though they look quite identical to each other. Believe me. That’s true. You will notice the difference if you had actually tried them out. After all, I still prefer the one from my hometown. *wink*

I love Kampua noodles. I like its yummy taste and delighted aroma. There are two types – one is so called the white one which is also the original one, and another one is blended with soya source- we call it as the black one. Both of them are delicious. Some of the people like the black one and the others stick to the white one. It’s all depends on ones’ favor. You can order either one or both together, just like me, if you could finish them. Ha!

When I ordered it in my hometown, I used to have it with a bowl of lightly seasoned steaming soup and some Wantons. They are the perfect combination. Huh~ I certainly admit that I can’t resist its temptation at all. Oh, Yummy, yummy, and again YUMMY!

I Met A Road-gangster Last Night

It was a really horrible experience that I ever have lately. It happened last night on my way home after the basketball game. I took the shortcut which usually takes me about 15minutes to get home. The main road would spend me more than that because I have to pass by about seven traffic lights before I can reach home. I don’t want to waste the time. I just want to get home earlier and have my lovely dinner to fill up my hungry stomach after the exhausted game.

The shortcut is not as many cars as the main road. Plus, there is lack of the lamp posts along a 5minutes-road of the overall. And therefore, the condition is a bit dark and might be dangerous sometimes. Because, you know, anything would likely to happen in the darkness. Most of the crimes can happen easily in the absence of light. There is where the devils always are. I, like usual, was choosing the shortcut to get home last night. I’m quite familiar with the entire condition of the road, because I use it twice a day, from Monday to Friday every week for ages. I drive over it when I go to work and when I back home after work.

Everything was going so well like normal in the first place. I left my company, drove on the airport road (the airport is within a minute distance ahead), turn left in the halfway, passed through a gloom little path and then, drove along the way next to a park. And there it was the miserableness happening.

I was distracted by a very strong and dazzling light reflected from my back mirror when I was driving. I wondered who turn on the front car high-beamed spotlights from behind. I didn’t like it at all. It was certainly annoying. It caused discomfort to my eyes when I saw the bright reflection. He or she was not supposed to do that. I was in front. I mean, I know the road is lacking of brightness but I was leading others. After all, he or she could just follow me from behind. And, I thought I was driving with quite reasonable speed. So, what on earth exactly did he or she bother about? He or she could simply overtake me if he or she was rather rushed for time.

I would like to find out who did that. I looked in the back mirror and searched through the reflection. Oh, it came from a green car after another two following behind mine. It is a green old type Proton Saga. Gosh, there were totally three cars in front of that bloody green Saga! What on earth was he or she doing there? Deliberately agitated people?

Just a while, I saw that bloody green Saga overtook the other two behind me. The driver was a MAN. A Malay man. I guessed he would be trying to catch up and pass mine too. I wouldn’t mind. However, he did nothing behind me. He drove behind mine at a constant speed and with his extreme bright high-beamed spotlights. Shit. I was pretty sure that he did it intentionally. Was he too bored or something and wished to get someone to challenge with? Childish! Silly! Foolish!

He had definitely irritated me. I was getting really angry. He is a bastard. Absolutely a bloody blasted road hog. I wanted to get him back. I move to the inside lane and let him overtook me. He did. Now, I turn on my spotlights at high-beamed and move back to the outer lane and went behind him. I wanted him to suffer from the same thing. I wanted him to experience the same discomfort for being shot miserably by the high-beamed spotlights. It served him right.

After a moment, I aware he slowly moved his car to the inner lane. Did he give in to my “punishment” already? He couldn’t stand on my blinding high-beamed spotlights, could he? He would start to feel guilty about what he had done previously, wouldn’t he? I thought merrily.

When both of us were on the corner, he abruptly moved the car back to the outer lane and went behind me again, all happened in just a second. For an instant, I felt a lurch of shock. What the hell he was doing? “Keep steady,” I murmured to myself and held the steering still. He shot the spotlights on my car from behind and his car was getting very close to mine. I knew all these were done intentionally! I wasn’t frightened by what he did. It’s basically nonsense. I tried to get rid of him. On and off, I tried to speed in order to shake him off. But he was like a ghost, stalking me closely from behind, non-stop...!! Oh God, I hated him. I really hoped he would vanish instantly. Anyway, I had to find a way to quickly get myself off the hook. I didn’t want to be a prey like this.

I moved slowly, purposely kept the speed at about 40km per hour on the outer lane. I mean, I was not supposed to move that slow on the outer lane. It’s not allowed anyway. But somehow, I had no choice. I saw many cars overtook us from behind. I’m sorry for them.

When I came to a crossroad, I quickly turned right and ramped quickly into the small path. The bastard was slightly held up at the stop as there was a car coming. I took advantage of this delay and vanished into the small roads. I kept making left and right turn for the purpose of shaking off the guy completely. It was quite dangerous as I had to drive at high speed and watch out for the cars coming out from here and there. Thank God! I did it. I lost sight of the bastard finally. Cold sweat kept pouring out from my forehead when I reached the parking lot of my apartment.

After quite a while, I regained my calm. I told myself that I will never act like this again. I am just a little and vulnerable girl. What could really have turned out if something bad happens? It is really too foolish to have tried to pay back my anger to an idiot like this. I swear I will be more tolerant next time. I will try my best to ignore any such nuisance. Sorry to my dad and mum and my dearests for making you all worry!

Quotation of the Day
