“Welcome every morning with a smile. Look on the new day as another special gift from your creator, another golden opportunity to complete what you were unable to finish yesterday. Be a self-starter. Let your first hour set the theme of success and positive action that is certain to echo through your entire day. Today will never happen again. Don’t waste it with a false start or no start at all. You were not born to fail.” ~by Og Mandino

She Broke Her Right Arm Again

It was indeed a shocking news when I got to know that my poor sis broke her arm again. She slipped on a little puddle of water in dark last night on her way home. Her right elbow was directly smashed on the floor and the sudden impact hit her fragile bone, hence cracked her arm. Oh my, her poor thing.

She had once in her childhood.

When she was still a kid, she was pretty scampish and hyperactive that one day, she tried to jump from the top rail of a wooden sofa like a superwoman. But who knew, she failed to safely land on the floor and unfortunately end up with broken her elbow. It was frightening and my parents immediately sent her to hospital in double quick time. She had an operation right afterwards and consecutively she took almost half a year for recovery.

Thanks God! No surgery needed this time but she has to get her whole right arm plastered now. It’s very inconvenience to carry out the daily life like usual days. She is in a big trouble. I bought her a ticket and requested her to come down to Johor tonight. She will be staying with me for the following week, likely until her arm is pretty much recovered. Or at least until her next check-up. I will look after her like a ‘queen’ (now I should say this to myself – oh, poor me). That's just because she is my dearest sister!

I really hope she will get better and back to normal soon. Bless you, sis! *crossed-fingers*

My Heart Tells Me…

… to follow my desire.

Quit the tuition or not?

I can’t remember how many times I have been asking myself this question. This is pretty struggling.

Actually the reason gets me to this juncture is that I can hardly pursuing what I really want and things I like to carry out if I still taking this part-time job. Like, I hope to concentrate much effort on my engineering job, especially I just take over the development project in the team, and I really hope to make it a success. In order to accomplish this great task given, I have to divert most the energy, time and attention in the research and system integration study.

That sounds a bit frustrating. Yeah, it is. But, isn’t this is what I craving for so far? I want the shabby DOS system to be upgraded. I want to make the instrument control more easy and convenience to operate and manage. I want all the crappy issue to go away in majority.

So, here I am. This is the chance to make my dream real. The golden opportunity which I have been waiting for ages.

I know there won’t be easy to get thru but put it at the other hand, each problem that I solve will become a rule which serves afterwards to solve other problem. Finally, it makes up the overall deal!

Still, my strong enthusiasm is the steam that drives the engine. I believe, I can do it.

Integration

Haa-ha. Can you find that there are two varieties - typical local and western’s served on the plate? These are a few of those remained in my fridge and needed to be used up. Remember - no waste food. So, I cook them individually and then put them together with the fragrant rice.

The wonderful colours mixture seems to make the whole dish a great visual treat too. I love this combination, in term of its delicious, crispy taste and also the stunning colour.

Some citrus haw tea is good especially after the ‘oily’ meal. It tastes pretty sour but I like it. Hee-hee.

As Though A Bride-To-Be

You know, I like this moment most too because I can dress up in pretty ensemble and make myself an eye-catching image. Every woman does wish themselves look like an enchanting princess or queen, don’t you? Well, this is the intrinsic desire that desperately rooting in every woman since they born. And, whether you agree with me or not, it’s also the essential craving that needed for pursuing the beauty of life too.

A week ago (12Jun2011), I was being invited for a wedding reception of a colleague. And, this was my glamorous and elegant look which I spent the whole morning to get it done..

Another thing that makes me cock-a-hoop is, when I chose one of the pictures above as my profile pic in FB, many of my friends thought I was doing some kind of pre-wedding make up. Ha. It certainly makes me buoyant in the air… *titter*

Chicken With Chestnut For My Dearest Dad

Dad, Happy Father’s Day!!!!

I have specially cooked this particular dish for you on this special day. This is also my first time to try out this cooking where I seasoned the chicken with special homemade marinade (I learned this recipe from a magazine) and simmered the chicken with chestnuts which had been boiled on its own prior to the chicken.

Besides, I also added in some chopped garlic, ginger and a few pieces of carrots and the spring onion at last to make the taste even more fragrant! Do you smell it, dad? Hee-hee.

This time, you gotta ‘taste’ with your eyes first, with some fancy imagination too. Next time, when you come down flying over here, I will make you the dish again to let you really gorge on.

Love you always, dad! Hope you have a great time!!*wink*

Homemade Pleasant Cuisine

There’s nothing like having private kitchen, to make whatever dish you like at home.

Kimchi-Kimchi. My yummy hot and sour Kimchi soup this time, with cuttlefishes, fish fillets, prawns, organic Konjac rolls and the spring onion (I always like to add spring onion to my cooking in order to complement the dish) on the top of the soup again. The sour taste stimulates our appetites while the spiciness is really put us on the top of fire. Anyway, it’s so delicious to eat!

Another one is this steamed fish with mushroom and wolfberries, in black soya source. This can help to neutralise the spiciness of the Kimchi soup a bit. Ha.

Just Out of Bed

Some pictures of me myself just after the power long night sleep. No work on Saturday, so I slept in.

Oops, still in scruffy look. Hee-hee~

Taking A Day Off

It’s the first day of working week again but I’m taking a day off.

Simply want to give myself another additional rest day especially I’m still suffering from the inflammation of the gums which near to the last two wisdom teeth (I had a total of four but two had been removed about two years ago).

The painful swelling is caused by the improper eruption of the extra teeth which making the area difficult to clean and eventually become the hotbed for the bacteria. For God’s sake, it hurts and I can only get rid of the two bloody teeth after the inflammation has subsided.

I was advised by the dentist to come back again after a week. Well, now I have to rely on the pain killer to get my days moving on.

Today is also the Chinese Dragon Boat Festival. Here I wish everyone has a great time with your family and someone you are with.

The Splendid moment

After the movie, we went to Stone Grill for our dinner tonight. Oh, it had been ages that we didn’t come here. We both missed the delicious food served on the hot burning platform. That’s the popular focus in that restaurant.

I ordered my fave prawns and chicken chops and shark fins soup while my hubby went for his steak again.

Followed by the aromatic flower tea and coffee at Starbucks. Oh, couldn’t be better! *grin*

Morning Everyone

A glass of orange juice to refresh your sleepy mind in the morning. Have fun on your day!

I will be going to watch movie with my hubby later. Johnny Depp, I’m coming!

Does It Satisfy Your Hunger?

My first homemade fried noodles, for lunch.

Adding little lime juice onto the noodles compliments the whole taste! Yum-yum~
